A Letter from Our Founder – Ron Daugherty
I launched Daugherty Business Solutions in 1985 with a clear vision and high standards. Over time, we grew to more than 2,000 people worldwide and delivered results that mattered. A strategic merger later allowed me to focus my energy on creating lasting impact. Because building a business is one kind of legacy—but what you do with that success is where the real impact begins.
After the merger, my aunt was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Watching her decline, seeing the confusion in the eyes of caregivers who didn’t know what to say or do—it hit me hard. I’ve always believed that when something’s broken, you fix it. So I started thinking: how do we prepare people for these moments? Not with theory. With practice.
That’s how ACTS was born.
ACTS is a training platform built for the real world. It gives caregivers—whether they’re professionals or family members—a safe space to rehearse the hardest conversations. To build confidence. To learn how to show up with compassion when it counts most.
And let me be clear: this isn’t just about Alzheimer’s. I’ve spent my career focused on how people respond in crisis—how they communicate under pressure, how small choices shape big outcomes.
