Chief Product Officer
We’re seeking a Chief Product Officer who brings creativity, entrepreneurial drive, and extreme ownership to the product. This leader will define how the product looks, feels, and behaves for clients and users. They will spend meaningful time in front of customers, run pilots, observe real usage, and translate insights into product direction. They will ensure the product performs intuitively across scenarios, bring in experts when needed, and drive a roadmap that reflects both market reality and strategic ambition.
Location: Remote, Open to travel
Type: Full-Time
Reports to: CEO / COO
Key Responsibilities
The Product Leader will own the overall product vision, ensuring it is grounded in user behavior, customer needs, and market opportunities. This includes defining and maintaining the product's look, feel, flow, and overall user experience while ensuring it performs consistently across all scenarios, edge cases, and user types. They will establish and uphold a high standard for product quality, usability, and innovation, setting the benchmark for what an exceptional product experience should be.
A critical part of the role is developing a deep understanding of customers and the market. The Product Leader will spend significant time engaging directly with clients and end users to observe how the product is used in real-world environments. They will lead pilots, customer feedback sessions, and usage studies to uncover actionable insights, identify unmet needs and emerging market trends, and translate both qualitative and quantitative feedback into a clear and actionable product strategy.
The Product Leader will be responsible for building and maintaining a strategic product roadmap that balances innovation, usability, scalability, and business priorities. They will prioritize features based on customer value, adoption potential, competitive differentiation, and long-term impact. When specialized expertise is needed, they will engage external advisors or subject matter experts to accelerate decision-making and strengthen product direction. All roadmap decisions should be transparent, data-driven, and aligned with the company's broader strategic objectives.
Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership. The Product Leader will work closely with engineering teams to ensure the original product vision is executed with fidelity while collaborating with sales and account executives to support customer demonstrations, pilots, and successful implementations. They will also partner with marketing to develop compelling messaging, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies that clearly communicate the product's value.
In addition, the Product Leader will play a key role in shaping the commercial strategy for the product by defining pricing, packaging, licensing, and enterprise offerings that reflect customer value. They will identify conferences, industry communities, and strategic channels where the product should be represented while providing clear guidance on how customers should use the product and the outcomes it is designed to achieve.
The role also carries responsibility for operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Product Leader will establish effective product management processes, decision-making frameworks, and customer feedback loops while maintaining a high level of accountability for product quality, reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. As business priorities and market conditions evolve, they will adapt strategy quickly without sacrificing momentum or long-term vision.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial and creative product leader who approaches the product as if it were their own—taking pride in building, protecting, and continuously improving it. They are deeply user-focused, thriving in direct conversations with customers and seeking to understand real-world usage rather than relying on assumptions. They possess strong market awareness, with a solid understanding of competitive dynamics, industry trends, and positioning.
They are a strategic thinker who can synthesize insights from customer feedback, pilot programs, product data, and market intelligence to make informed decisions and shape long-term direction. They build strong relationships across engineering, sales, operations, marketing, and executive leadership, using influence and collaboration to drive alignment. Above all, they are highly accountable and resourceful, bringing ideas, frameworks, and the right expertise to every challenge while taking full ownership of outcomes from strategy through execution.
